Honored with Consumer Finance Industry's Highest
Award
WASHINGTON, October 26, 2011 - Joe McCaw,
president of Life of the South, has been honored this week with the
American Financial Services Association's (AFSA) Distinguished
Service Award (DSA).
McCaw was one of three executives to receive the 2011 DSA during
AFSA's 95th Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. The association's
highest honor, the DSA is given to individuals who have contributed
significantly to the industry and the association's growth on a
national level, advanced its mission and objectives, and raised its
image.
In addition to his role as president of Life of the South, the
payment protection, debt protection and warranty brand of Fortegra
Financial, McCaw is also executive vice president and a member of
the Executive Committee of Fortegra.
Prior to joining Life of the South, McCaw held a number of
executive positions with the Lyndon Insurance Group, Voyager
Insurance Group and Citicorp Acceptance Company. McCaw graduated
from Westminster College and has an MBA from Lindenwood
University.
McCaw currently serves on the association's Business Partner
Advisory Board and the AFSA Education Foundation Board of
Directors.

protecting access to credit and consumer choice. Its 350 members
include consumer and commercial finance companies, auto
finance/leasing companies, mortgage lenders, credit card issuers,
